Located in the northwestern part of Hiroshima Prefecture, Akiota Town is about a 90-minute drive from Hiroshima City.
Known for its stunning natural beauty and locally grown agricultural produce, this charming town offers a glimpse of rural Japan. One of the themes of the Akiota Town tour is “Rice.” The tour includes a visit to Ini Terraced Rice Fields, recognized as one of Japan’s Top 100 Terraced Rice Fields, as well as a popular cherry blossom viewing spot, Kamitono park.
For the cooking experience, you will visit Hajimari no Ie (“House of Beginnings”), a renovated traditional farmhouse. In this authentic Japanese setting, you will learn to prepare dishes like sushi rolls and tempura, using fresh local ingredients.
Enjoy your meal while taking in the tranquil views of the surrounding countryside. You will also have the opportunity to shop for local products at a roadside station. The tour is conducted via a private car with a Hiroshima Prefecture Government Licensed Guide Interpreter accompanying you.
