Highlights of Ueda Soko school tea room tour

① Ueda Soko school tea room “Senshotei” tour and table-style tea ceremony experience 

 Ueda Soko is the founder of the Ueda School, who served as the chief retainer of the Asano clan during the Edo period in Hiroshima. The tea room, originally constructed by Ueda Soko, has been restored for an exhibition held in both Tokyo and Hiroshima, commemorating the 450th anniversary of Ueda Soko’s birth. It is now relocated and exhibited on the 1st floor of the Hiroshima Electric Railway headquarters. The tour allows visitors to enjoy leisurely viewing during non-public hours. Following the tour, participants will have the opportunity to experience a table-style tea ceremony

② Lunch with a view of the Seto Inland Sea at Japanese restaurant “Ganyu-tei” on a hill

Choose from the lunch menu and enjoy the beautiful scenery stretching from Itsukushima, a world heritage site in the west, to Mt. Hiji in Hiroshima City in the east.

③ Efficiently navigate the city using a chartered car and tram“Hiroden”

You will be transported to the Hiroshima Electric Railway Headquarters by Hiroden and then to the restaurant on the hill in a chartered car, and a Hiroshima Prefecture regional interpreter guide will accompany you.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial ParkAfter moving by car to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, we will show you around the Atomic Bomb Dome and the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, and also visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum before disbanding.

(Note) Please note that the Peace Memorial Museum may have to cancel tours if it is overcrowded.

*Before applying, please be sure to check the information listed below.

1. About application
  This tour can be applied for from 1 person. The event will be canceled if the minimum number of participants (4 people) is not reached.
  A Hiroshima prefecture regional interpreter guide will accompany you on the tour .

2. About travel fees
  Travel fees are the fees listed under Travel Fees in this catalog.
  The travel fee includes “tram fare, tea ceremony experience fee, lunch, entrance fee, guide fee, and taxes.” Events may be canceled due to weather, traffic conditions, circumstances at each facility, etc.
  In that case, the application fee or participation fee will be fully refunded.

3. About Meals
  Meals are served at a table next to the tea room on the 2nd floor.
  The contents of the bento box are subject to change depending on purchasing conditions .
  If you wish to change the menu due to religious or allergy issues, please let us know when making your tour reservation.
  Depending on the content , we may not be able to respond or may incur additional charges.

4. Regarding rainy weather:
  In case of light rain, the tour will be held, so please bring rain gear. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled the day before.

5. Children are welcome to participate
  Children are welcome to participate, but please be careful not to disturb other guests in the facility. Regarding meals, we will also provide the same content to children. 

6. Smoking Smoking
   Smoking is prohibited inside each building, Hiroshima Peace Park, and inside the vehicles.

Cancellation fee

If a travel contract is concluded and the contract is canceled due to the customer’s convenience, the following amount will be charged as a cancellation fee.

When concluding a travel contract, we do not accept guidance based solely on this catalog.
Regarding the contents and conditions of the travel contract, we will conclude the travel contract after we have informed you of the travel conditions (full text) that will be provided separately.
